Monaco Hickey was engaged by Monash University, Clayton Campus, to undertake refurbishment works at Maths Building 28. The works consisted of a new laboratory, the refurbishment of levels 1 and 3 and major infrastructure upgrades to the base building system.
Monaco Hickey successfully performed major demolition and construction works within a fully operational teaching facility. With construction sandwiched above and below by the schools of science and mathematics, a key aim of this project was to ensure that the students’ educational experience was unimpeded by noise and dust.
Monaco Hickey worked co-operatively with Monash University’s Project Manager, ensuring any challenges raised by demolishing a 43-year old building were quickly addressed and resolved. This collaborative approach saw the project successfully completed on time, with minimal disruption and to the high standard expected by a long-standing client.
