In 2013, Monaco Hickey were engaged by Healthscope to construct a new ward in a section of a fully operational medical facility. The works included a new ambulance bay as well as a patient lounge, new staff station and hospital reception, 2 new en-suites to existing bedrooms, refurbishment of existing toilet and bathroom facilities and new clean and dirty utility rooms.
Construction works had to be carefully planned and executed as the Hospital remained fully operational for both staff and patients. The quick completion of the project meant that there was minimal disruption in the day to day running of the facility.
