In 2014, Monaco Hickey delivered the Western Business Accelerator and Centre for Excellence (Western BACE) for the City of Melton in the north western corridor of Melbourne while achieving a 5 Star Green Star As Built rating upon first submission.
The aim of this project was to hand over a building that would be a working example of quality, environmentally sustainable construction suitable for a range of commercial tenants.
Monaco Hickey also constructed a single storey warehouse to support business coaching, vocational education and affordable, and leased space for startups, especially those in building and logistics.
This innovative project was the winner of the D&A 2015 Sustainability Awards for Large Commercial Projects.
