CSL’s corporate building redevelopment was a staged project to refurbish its existing head office building designed by Bates Smart in the late 1950s. The new design maintained the building’s original form while modernising the facilities and providing additional space to house modern teleconference rooms, meeting rooms and amenities.
A key challenge for Monaco Hickey was ensuring round-the-clock access to CSL’s world-wide data centre on the building’s ground floor, while simultaneously undertaking major underground services relocation and upgrade works of the data centre, prior to upgrading its facilities.
The CSL Corporate Head Office had a complex architectural design that relied on millimetre perfect execution to align both the façade and the interior.
Precise planning ensured existing data centre services were not interrupted during the building. Monaco Hickey’s constant attention to detail during the construction process ensured that ongoing communications between CSL international and its global network were maintained at all times.
