Monaco Hickey’s objective was to deliver commercial offices and pharmaceutical clean rooms as specified, while managing tight logistical controls with diligent planning to ensure client satisfaction.
The completed 4 Star Green Star rated structure featured a new staff gymnasium, coffee shop and commercial kitchen, and was enhanced by external decking space and extensive landscaping.
The building’s curved design reflects the local waterways and land contours in and around the Toongabbie creek site. This flowing form is complemented by a glazed atrium and façade that links to an external feature lake, emulating a meeting place of the Toongabbie’s Indigenous inhabitants.
Thanks to adaptive planning and carefully coordinated construction phases that saw no interruption to the operations of the client, the Baxter Healthcare head office was delivered eight months ahead of schedule.
