This project will see the conversion of Barwon Water’s two adjoining buildings into one seamless working environment, including a new five-level atrium space between the existing structures.
The scope of works also includes a new, two-level basement carpark and ground level pedestrian link that will connect Ryrie Street to the arts precinct on adjoining acquired land, as well as a café and community hub.
A key driver of this Green Star Principles design is the need to provide a connected workplace to enhance interaction among Barwon Water staff. The refurbished building will provide a flexible, modern workplace, accommodating all of Barwon Water’s Geelong-based employees under one roof.
Monaco Hickey is looking forward to being part of this iconic building for central Geelong.
“This project represents a significant investment in Geelong and will play a major part in the revitalisation of its central business district.”
